I am passionate about the opportunity to help you find your inner capacity to heal and become the best possible version of yourself while living a more meaningful life.

Struggling with psychological pain and mental well-being is difficult and so reaching out for professional help can feel scary. I am here to help. From the very first steps, I can support and guide you through your therapeutic journey.
Jette Bovingdon, BA (Hons), DipHE, EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, MBACP Accredited/Registered
Having had to reach out for myself, I really understand how difficult and how important a step this is likely to be for you and I also know how psychotherapy and Attachment Informed EMDR can change your life for the better.
Both EMDR and Psychotherapy changed my life, I was helped to heal, to grow and to blossom as a person again. It inspired me to train as a psychotherapist so I could help others to achieve the same.
I truly believe we all have the capacity and the power to heal within our psyche.

MY TRAINING AND BACKGROUND
I am down-to-earth, calm, understanding, and empathic. I have over 17 years’ experience, including over 6000 clinical hours. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, adolescents, children and their parents or legal guardians.

My initial training was Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy incorporating the teachings of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Family Systemic Therapy.
I am a fully qualified and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner in EMDR Trauma Therapy for adults, and fully qualified in EMDR for children and adolescents.
I am fully trained in using EMDR Therapy in an Attachment Informed way, focusing on early attachment relationships.
I am trained in using EMDR Therapy in an IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed way.
During my early years of practice, I worked in charitable counselling organisations with adults of all ages. In addition, I spent 18 months training and working with the organisation Place2Be using art and play therapy with children and adolescents.
Since then, I have worked extensively in educational settings with staff, children, and their families. These have ranged from primary through to secondary and on to A-Level students in both state and private sector schools as well as an international boarding school.
Now, I work solely in Private Practice.
