PSYCHOTHERAPY FOR ADULTS
At Evergreen Psychotherapy I tailor my approach to your needs, offering support and guidance to help you navigate a new path through difficult times.

WHERE TO START
When we meet, we will first establish that there is a good connection between us. This is necessary for any therapeutic progress and for change to take place.
During our initial sessions, I will undertake a detailed psychotherapeutic assessment and will offer my professional opinion on which therapy will be the most beneficial for your needs and expectations.

my approach
At Evergreen Psychotherapy, I combine a psychodynamic/integrative model with Attachment Informed EMDR Therapy. I focus on you as a whole person including your body, your emotions, your thoughts, and your behaviours, in an explorative way.
I also consider the whole of you in relation to the other significant people in your life such as partners, family members, friends and associates in school or work. We try and understand what has happened to you and the impact this has in your life now.
Our past is incredibly significant as it can often give us clues as to why we might find things difficult in the present and my approach is to ‘look at the past – but not stare’.
I use art and play therapy in my work with children and adolescents, but sometimes it can be helpful with adults, too.
We will review our therapeutic progress at suitable intervals.
