appointments and booking
Weekly appointments are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the day and late afternoon.
I recommend we have a brief telephone conversation before we arrange an initial meeting. This is to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and whether you feel I am the right person for you. To arrange an initial without-obligation conversation, please email or phone me.
Together we will explore your difficulties and work out the most helpful way forward, depending on your circumstances and my expertise.
In rare instances, if I am unable to help you or your child, I will support you in seeking other options.

OUR FIRST MEETING
During our first meeting I try to complete an initial assessment to understand what has brought you to therapy and what has happened to you. It is not always possible to complete the assessment phase in our first session; it may take a few sessions. However, following the initial assessment, we can then agree to continue our work together and I will provide a professional opinion as to how best to move forward. I will also send you my working agreement and privacy statement for you to sign.
As everyone’s difficulties are unique, the length of therapy can vary greatly. I try to offer a flexible approach and where funding is limited we can explore this and adapt the therapy accordingly.
The initial session or sessions are an opportunity for you to see if working with me feels safe and is right for you. Having a ‘good connection’ is important for the therapy to progress.
FURTHER INFORMATION
I work with children and their families from the age of 10.
My sessions are by appointment only and arranged in advance on a weekly basis on the same day and time.
If you are late, we will still have to finish at the allotted time.
Because of the nature of psychotherapy, it is not possible to allocate appointments on an ad hoc basis.
Full fee is charged for missed sessions, unless in exceptional circumstances such as hospitalisation.
At my professional clinic, I offer Covid19 safe in-person appointments, including hand sanitizer and fresh air. However, for anyone who is not comfortable with this, I can provide Online and Telephone Therapy sessions instead.
